Bail Art Projects has renewed its partnership with Niort Hospital, featuring a mural created by Niort-based artist Maggy +++ in the adult psychiatry ward “Les Cytises.” At the initiative of Robert Chiche, chairman of the board of directors of Territoria Mutuelle, and with the support of Bail Art, the work titled “MI” was painted in the ward’s relaxation room. Inspired by nature and the sun, the mural features a palette of pastel greens and ochre pink, designed to bring calm and comfort to this healing space. It draws on an abstract, slow, and enveloping visual language that employs simple, softened geometric shapes, tonally similar colors, and transparent overlays. “MI” refers to the musical note associated with balance, the center, and inner vibration, creating a space where forms coexist without hierarchy or explicit narrative. True to her commitment, Maggy +++ invites visitors to a moment of escape and serenity. Patients were involved in the project, sharing their emotions, particularly through writing poems. For over eight years, Bail Art has been supporting healthcare facilities in implementing artistic projects that promote well-being at the heart of the care journey.
