Bail Art Projects and Bouygues Immobilier unveil Alexis Cladière's participatory work created for residents of the new 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚌𝚎 𝚍𝚎𝚜 𝙿𝚘𝚎̀𝚝𝚎𝚜 à Ville residence in Pierrefitte-sur-Seine (93). As part of the 1 immeuble, 1 œuvre charter, a poem by Robert Desnos was highlighted by the artist. Taking the form of a cloud of words, the buyers of this 65-unit residence were able to take part in the creation by choosing the words that make up the work "TYPOTOPIE", (2025). A contraction of "typography" and "utopia". Future residents play with the words, sensations and emotions they wish to experience in the Place des Poètes residence. Beyond the graphic design, their words stand out, revealing a certain utopia inscribed in this abstract work. The typography sketches out a volume on the square face with its shadow cast on the wall, and several levels of reading appear. Corten steel lends the suspended sculpture a lively quality, thanks to its irregular oxidation, which forms a protective layer with a unique hue and texture. This sculpture is a "participative" work with the residents, reflecting the spirit of the place. Visual artist, designer and sculpture teacher Alexis Cladière lives and works in Seine Saint Denis. The artist mixes materials and techniques, using manual and digital tools for his creations on space and time. After studying mathematics, he worked as creative director in an architecture firm in Paris. In the 2000s, he began working as an artist under the pseudonym 36RECYCLAB. He sees his work as research, like a creative laboratory, into materials and techniques.
