Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs

60 years of diplomacy in Nantes: an event where art was invited! "Neptune favours the traveller": a motto that resonates particularly well as Nantes celebrates 60 years of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs in the city. For the occasion, the Espace Culturel Cosmopolis in Nantes is hosting an anniversary exhibition and a collaborative artistic creation. Live, artists Cécile Auregan, Seb Bouchard, Hugo Duras, Pauline Ferrand and Soizic Herihuel created a work symbolizing openness to the world, dialogue and international exchange. A second, participatory work was created thanks to the artists' collaboration with pupils from the École des Plantes, who shared their vision of the world through painting. This anniversary also marks an immersion in the Ministry's essential day-to-day role: from consular services to the training of diplomatic talent, via the management of archives and the civil registry of French nationals abroad. It's an event that highlights an ever-evolving diplomacy, rooted in Nantes and looking out to the world.
