Artist : André Monet

André Monet

Born in Montreal, André Monet studied graphic design at Université Laval. He also explored various media in the fine arts. He worked in fashion and advertising for many years. Finally, he devoted himself entirely to his career as an artist. He explored mosaics, collage and acrylics. Inspired by cinema, photography, music and literature, Monet has a natural sensitivity to modern society. His signature concept combines text, texture and color. It exudes eccentricity and illustrates the characters and icons he depicts. Portraiture dominates his work. But it's not just any portrait. His signature style blends old newspapers, books and paint. The features of his characters are rendered with such precision that they resemble photographs. With growing demand for his work, Monet has exhibited in Paris, London, New York, Seoul and Singapore. His work has also been seen in Miami, Oslo, Cannes, Montreal, Dubai and Hong Kong. Other cities include Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, Vienna, Madrid, Melbourne and Moscow. Artist and portraitist André Monet is featured in the Bail Art Projects catalog. Artist André Monet Bail Art Projects catalog Art Photography
