Lagny-sur-Marne

Since 2012, Lagny-sur-Marne has been reinventing itself with the ambitious project to transform its former hospital into a modern, dynamic district. Today, this cultural renaissance takes another step forward, integrating works of art into the urban space to embellish the town and enrich the living environment of its residents. Discover the first fresco of the artistic journey, inaugurated by Koralie Carmen Flores at the Maison des Associations! This fresco, created as part of the European Heritage Days, marks the start of a series of installations linking Parc Saint-Jean to the city center, creating a veritable open-air museum. The works highlight the city's natural environment and historical heritage. Art becomes a vehicle for raising awareness and enhancing the value of these elements. With the expertise of Bail Art Projects and under the direction of Sébastien Monot, Deputy Mayor for Culture, this project bears witness to Lagny's commitment to integrating art into everyday life, enhancing the attractiveness of the real estate while celebrating its heritage and environment. Financed by the Lagny Mécénat endowment fund, thanks to its generous donors, and supported by the municipality, in partnership with the association les Amis du musée et du patrimoine de Lagny-sur-Marne. Commines France, a content production company, is promoting this first project with 2 audio stories on the history of the town and the link with the artist's work, which can be discovered on the town's website. 🎧 Listen to the Commines France audio here https://www.lagny-sur-marne.fr/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/AUDIO-GUIDE-1.mp3 Photo credits Nicolas Rochereau Video credits Coralie Karmen Flores
